8 months old!
Sam is 8 months old! However he is sick really for the first time. Jacob had a bad bug and it spread to Sam after a few days. His fever got up to 104.5 but was gone this morning. Praying he continues to heal. We miss his sweet smile when he is feeling bad. Lots of cuddling for him and he got to sleep with mom and dad last night. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep! This too shall pass.

Got mail?
Trae loved trying to capture Sam through the mailbox. This is Sams new toy. It was yet another Craigslist find. Our older boys are 12 and 17 I have missed several of their infant and toddler toys. That might sound crazy to some people but now so many toys have batteries and are high tech and I have really missed a toy that is less simple with more focus on hands and less on the bells and whistles that modern technology has created. There is a handful of old toys that I am on the hunt for and I was told this one is the holy grail of used toys! Now it is Sams and his mama has a smile on her face.

September 1st...a family update.
I love the start of a new month. Although with a husband in sales it brings a unique perspective sometimes. It means a clean slate, fresh start and numbers to be reached.
Here is a quick update on everyone.
Trae: Treasuring his time at home and loving seeing the milestones of a baby. Trying to find a mens group at our new church. We found a new church home this spring and all the groups have just started up again. Really glad that the mowing season will be winding down soon! Looking forward to a visit soon from his dad and Sylvia.
Julie: Very blessed and excited about the new group she will be starting this fall. It is a Titus 2 group at our church and I was most blessed to get the last spot in the class! It fills up fast. Looking forward to a new season this fall where she will homeschooling Jacob but only part-time. Jacob will be attending a homeschooling school 3 mornings a week. Trying to get hubby on board with getting rid of more things and embracing a less is more life! Peter Walsh is my hero!!! My dad is coming for a visit next month.
Andrew: Taking on his Jr. year like a pro. I didn't know it until a few months ago but much of your college choices depend on how your Jr. year goes. His PSAT prep course was a success and he raised his test scores by about 30%. He is loving his new computer set up. I am sure he could tell it to you in more detail but it involves his Macbook Pro laptop and a 19 inch monitor. Just spent the day cleaning and organizing his room without being asked! He loves the new computer chair that I found him at a garage sale. So thankful that my son realizes the value of a dollar. He recently sold his car and bought a Toyota Corolla.
Jacob: We know Jacob is getting older because he likes to sleep in a bit more. We can sense the teen years are almost here! Oh joy! Is a shoe addict like his father. Sad that his neighbor friend has moved away. Getting ready to start a Presidential PE program once a week. Very much desires cuddle time still. Wants to sit and read with mom or cuddle baby brother. Still reading through the Narnia books with Trae.
Sam: Loves windows, being outside and people. His favorite food is sweet potatoes and applesauce. He has been enjoying Blue Clues and trying to chase our pup. Very busy crawling, pulling up and discovering things. Understands the word no and will either cry or turn around and turn from what he shouldn't be doing. Is enjoying sitting at the table with his family during mealtime. He has recently starting having Mum mums and that keeps him busy during dinner. Cheerios here we come!
