Summer 2010 Family updates
Trae: Loves fatherhood and is a hands on dad. About to start hitting the gym again. He has one where he works so that is a great perk. Got those new flowers planted out front and they look so nice! Enjoyed a week of vacation while at family camp. Grateful that often the August heats slows down the lawn and he can do it a little less. Very busy at work and will be headed to Chicago soon for a trip. His wife is very jealous and wants to go!!! We went on a trip there a few years ago and feel in love with the city. He offered for me to go but it falls at the same time as my girlfriends cruise so Chicago will have to wait.
Julie: Very much enjoying a slower change of pace for summer. Has enjoyed meeting friends weekly at our water park for swim days with the kids. Trying to manage the house looking really great as often as possible since we put our home on the market. Has a cruise planned with girlfriends this fall! Grateful for the week we had at family camp and enjoyed connecting with dear friends and family. Planning on starting to walk again and maybe try a water aerobics class.
Andrew: Is on overdrive for college planning! Has started visiting colleges and has a short list of ones he still wants to go visit. We are headed to OU next week to check it out. Enjoyed his week at family camp. Is looking forward to starting his senior year and is planning on not working this year so that he can have more free time for friends, school and life before he hits the real world! Is loving working out at the gym and has muscles to prove it!
Jacob: Recently turned 13 and purchased a bike with his birthday gifts! He is all about anything on wheels. Skateboard, bikes and talking about what kind of car he would like someday. Has loved going to the water park this summer and is getting to go to 6 Flags this week with a family friend. Is finishing up his math for the year and will be going into the 7th grade. Wanted a pull up bar for his birthday and is determined to be able to do 20 pull ups.
Sam: Is one busy boy! He LOVES the water park and anything wet! We have a water table for him that we put on the porch and he will play with it for hours. Did really well at family camp. Has added many words to vocabulary. He signs about 5-6 words to communicate too. He started saying Andrew while we were at camp. Made a mama and brothers heart smile. His seasonal allergies have been far worse than any of my other boys so please pray for him as he is having to take medicine daily for this. It is keeping it under control and we are grateful for that.
