Brothers.....

Both boys love outside time! One great perk in Texas is that is pretty much year around. It is cold outside to me but they don't seem to be bothered by it. :)

Fall.....

We are crazy happy to be into fall. Smoother and cooler days are a welcomed change! Both boys have grown so much!

Brothers.....

I had a ladies event this Sunday night and all 3 guys hung out at the house for the evening. Trae does amazing at taking time to take pictures of the daily. I am so grateful!

Much of our day is filled with.....

Music! Lots and lots of music.

Fresh out of the tub....

Sam has a collection of ducks (and a fish or two!) that help make baths fun. After baths it is stories, cuddle time and bedtime! Sam stopped his afternoon nap (for the most part) this summer so bedtime comes about 7:30.

A typical day....

This is what a typical day looks like right now with Jacob. He is recovering from surgery on his foot and has about a 10-12 week recovery before he is to have things back to normal. Not a fun way to the end a summer but hopeful it will help his foot and the pain he was having.

Crazy hot.....

While it is crazy hot here we can't stay inside all the time! Both boys require and love some outside time and we love finding fun ways they can get it. It might be in the early morning or from 7pm on but boys must be able to roam and get some energy out.

Wordless weekend.....

What can I say....

It sure has been a busy summer!!! Crazy busy and full. Plans, kids, life, home stuff, VBS, swim lessons, appointments, friends, library, work, summer study, date nights, vacation planning, daily house stuff, projects, etc. Sorry, I have been so bad about updating! I will try and post a picture here and there. This is Sam during his rest time. About the time summer hit he starting dropping his nap for the most part. He does go down for a rest time and sometimes fall asleep but if he doesn't he gets super creative in his bed. He reads, spends time with his friends (animals) and turns his bed into a car or office. Yep! Thats our boy!

Leopard boy....

Sam had made a mask for his class program recently and wouldn't put it on during the program. He sang, danced and was happy to be apart but that mask wasn't going on! Later that evening he warmed up to it and enjoyed wearing it and taking pictures of himself with it.

Sweet memories.....

42, dear friends, pizza and lingering conversation and laughter.....

A couple weeks ago my dearest friends blessed me by celebrating my birthday! We had a great time at a nearby pizza place. I picked a pizza place that has girly pizza that I love. Thin crust, chicken, spinach, feta and pure goodness! It was a great evening sitting out on a patio, strung with lights and filled with conversation and connection. 40's have been such a sweet time! Honestly, I think 40+ gets a bad rap. It's all good....really good!
